Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~William Dement

The project started off with a simple idea that was very planned and constructed. Then something very unique took place. Neither of us planned on the amount of emotions and connections that ended up happening by using my son as made subject. I found a sense of creative connection with my own son. For our dreams are both very different but as we worked together I began to wonder, if they are really that different? Or I am living my dreams? The element of collaboration that took place between us seemed to make the work stronger and bring it to life.

The series leaves many questions that can arise for me and the viewer, but one thing is for certain that the idea and love for dreaming is still alive young and old. The body of work that we created together, has not only made us even closer, but has also allowed for us to nurture this world, blurring the line between reality and our dreams. This has given both of us an outlet to continue the journey of dreaming.
